If only they could focus on the human emotions. If only they could explore the inner-conflict between the man and the beast. How about a little personality for a handsome dude? Sure we can't get enough of the super power and cool fighting. But ultimately we love super heroes because deep down inside, we feel as left out as they are. We are torn between our identities as they are. We are constantly misunderstood as they are. That's why we love them.
It's a little upsetting the movie makes up its own rules are it goes along. Could Striker really let Wolverine go in the first place? The lab is ultra-modern in one scene, primitive and shabby in the next.
And why do Hollywood movies always bring dead women back to life? Why? It happened in 1000 BC, it happened in Hancock, and it happened here again. Love is a rare and beautiful thing. It's even hard to find on the screen. When you manage to create it, bring tears to our eyes, don't play that "she's dead/she's not dead" games with us. By bringing her back, it doesn't make us feel better. It only makes us feel cheated.
It's like after serving us a great gourmet burger, shove a McDonald dollar burger down our throats. Yes, it's more bang on our buck, but it cheapens the whole experience. Maybe it's the problem of the world, instead of rare and beautiful, people want thrifty and convenient...
Unless it's Carl's Junior -- thrifty and beautiful. But other than that, please let her rest in peace.
