... It was a pleasure to read your script. I'm glad I could be helpful. I was being honest when I said I think there's a lot of potential there. Being in English makes it seem like an odd hybrid because everything about it seems Chinese, but I imagine that people who read it in Chinese probably think it seems American. That's what's so great about it.

I am not so sure about the cross-culture hybrid thing any more. I used to think a good story is a good story. But in terms of humor and cultural sensitivity, it really depends. It could really back fire. But again, could be something beautiful.
The script was written for the Chinese market only. That was always in the back of my mind when I wrote it.
